Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026  ·  Effective: July 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CDL Lane ("CDL Lane," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit cdllane.com and its subdomains and tools (the "Site") or submit information to us. CDL Lane is an independent driver-matching and lead-referral service that connects commercial drivers with trucking companies, carriers, and recruiting partners ("Carrier Partners"). We are not an employer, staffing agency, or motor carrier. Please read this Policy together with our Terms of Service.

By using the Site and submitting your information, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit your information.

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through the Site, and we ask that you not submit them. We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you.

2. Where we get it

We collect information (a) directly from you when you fill out a form or contact us; (b) automatically from your device as you use the Site; and (c) in limited cases from service providers who help us operate the Site (for example, form-processing and analytics providers).

3. How we use your information

4. How we share your information — please read

CDL Lane is a lead-referral service. This is the core of what we do: when you submit your information, we share it with one or more Carrier Partners — trucking companies, carriers, and recruiting agencies — so they can contact you about driving opportunities. By submitting a form, you direct and authorize us to share the information you provide with such partners, which may include more than one partner. Once a Carrier Partner receives your information, its use of that information is governed by its own privacy practices, which we do not control.

We may also share information with:

Because we share your contact and profile information with Carrier Partners so they can market driving opportunities to you, this activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under certain state laws. See Sections 8 and 9 for your choices.

5. Your consent to be contacted (calls, texts & email)

When you submit a form and check the consent box, you provide your prior express written consent for CDL Lane and its Carrier Partners to contact you at the phone number and email address you provide — including by automatic telephone dialing systems, prerecorded or artificial voice messages, text messages (SMS/MMS), and email — regarding commercial driving opportunities, even if your number is listed on a federal or state Do-Not-Call registry.

Consent is not a condition of any purchase, service, or use of the Site. You can decline consent and still browse the Site and use the pay-estimate tool; you may simply contact us another way. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We keep a record of your consent as described in Section 1.

6. SMS/text messaging terms

If you consent to texts, you may receive messages from CDL Lane and/or Carrier Partners about driving opportunities and your inquiry. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of further texts from that sender; reply HELP for help. After you text STOP, you may receive one confirmation message. Opting out of texts does not by itself opt you out of calls or email — see Section 7. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not share your mobile opt-in consent or phone number with unaffiliated third parties for their own independent marketing.

7. How to opt out & revoke consent

You may revoke your consent and stop contact at any time:

Because we may have already shared your information with one or more Carrier Partners, you may also need to opt out with each partner that contacts you. We will honor requests directed to us but cannot control a partner's independent records; we will pass along a deletion or do-not-contact request to partners where reasonably practicable.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have some or all of the following rights, subject to legal exceptions:

To exercise any right, email privacy@cdllane.com with the request and the state you live in. We will verify your request (typically by confirming details you previously submitted) and respond within the timeframe your law requires. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits; we may ask for proof of authorization.

9. "Sale" and "sharing" of personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. However, because we disclose your contact and profile information to Carrier Partners so they can market driving opportunities to you, this may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" (including for "targeted advertising" or "cross-context behavioral advertising") under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and similar state laws.

To opt out: email privacy@cdllane.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information," or use any "Do Not Sell or Share" link we provide on the Site. We also honor recognized opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC), where required by law. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

10. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service, match you with Carrier Partners, maintain records of your consent and our communications, resolve disputes, and comply with our legal obligations — and thereafter as required to defend potential legal claims. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for commercial drivers and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Cookies & tracking

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your inputs, measure traffic, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. Where we use analytics, we do so to improve the Site.

14. Third-party sites

The Site may link to, or your information may be received by, third parties (including Carrier Partners) that operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information to them.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be posted on this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
